Day ten: 30 day minimalism game

Days six to eight happened just before we left for Christmas, with a brief break while we were away and now we’re back with days nine and 10. Here we go:

Days 6 & 7:

  • Two extremely dead plants that have been shaming our kitchen windowsill for several months.
  • Books, 2 x candle holders I’ve had for 20 years, 2 x catnip pillows, a soap in a music box (?!). The dog remained.

Day 8:

  • Many pairs of old, thick ‘fine for wearing under trousers’ tights. Adios.

Days 9 & 10:

  • Books, mainly. I did start on my bedside drawer this morning, sure in the knowledge that I’d find more than enough to reach my quota. However, aside from a Betty Boop mint tin and whatever that brush/pokey thing is, it turned out the rest was actually just litter.

All in all, I’m slightly ahead of myself, item-count-wise, as I’m not holding back odd items for another day. Right now I’m ripping all my CDs so they can fly off in the beak of a Music Magpie, so that should see me right for the next few days. After that, I have my eight-drawer chest of art supplies to go through and then… The Loft!
